I hope you all are enjoying the first days of Spring and are ready to start your Spring sewing. What better way to kick it off than with a sewing challenge. Tea of Crumpetsteandsewing.com and I are hosting the #sewmaxiformother’s day Instagram challenge from April 1, 2022 through May 9, 2022. This is our fourth year hosting this challenge where we encourage sewists to make a maxi garment in anticipation of Mother’s Day (May 8, 2022 USA). In addition to sewing maxi-length skirts, dresses, pants and jumpsuits, we’ve extended the garment types to include tops with a statement piece such as large sleeves, ruffles or a unique collar.
