August Sewing Plans
Here are my sewing plans for August 2020. It’s going to be a great month!
I will be making New Look 6514 for the Sewing Bowl Challenge created by SalonMishawn on Instagram. The Janelle Skirt by StyleSewMe Patterns and the Tia Knit Dress by Style Arc Patterns.
I was fortunate to win the Tia pattern from a fun Instagram challenge hosted by the Sewover50 group on Instagram. I looking forward to sewing this one along with my good sewing friend, Tea of CrumpetsTeandSewing.
Additionally, I am on the fence on whether I should make a pants and top set using the Megan Nielsen Flint Pants Pattern or if I should make a a jacket the London is Calling Jacket from the issue three of La Maison Victor Magazine (2018). Let me know what you think.
Moreover, there are a few other sewing challenges that I am considering participating in this month as well. These include Braugust where you are challenged to sew a bra in the month of August. ( I would like to sew the Watson Bra set for this challenge). The next one is the ThatSewMonica‘s monthly #sewyourview make, the Tecoma Blouse from Mood Fabrics. This is a cute wrap top pattern that is free from the Mood website. Finally, the Black Makers Matter Instagram Page is now spotlighting a Black Pattern Designer every month and August’s pattern is the Lima Dress by Kosedo Studio.
I hope I have enough time to complete these items by the end of this month. What are your sewing plans for August 2020? I’d love to know. Leave a comment below and share what you plan to make.
Until next time,
Happy Sewing!
