Today, I am sharing with you the La Bella Donna Tunic by Love Notions Patterns. It’s a quick and easy Dolman sleeved top and tunic pattern designed for knit fabrics. There are several options in this design including three neckline styles. These include a scooped neck, cowl and hood. You can also sew it with or without cuffs on the armbands and hemline. There are also three sleeve length pattern pieces for short, three-quarter, and long sleeves. Pockets may also be added to the tunic version.
I was a pattern tester for this re-released pattern which now comes in sizes XS to 5X for upper bust sizes of 31″ to 55″. I was assigned the short sleeved version with cowl neckline. At first I wasn’t sure if I’d like a t-shirt with a cowl neckline for summer. I’ve only sewn one other cowl top and it was long-sleeved and great for a winter wardrobe. Cowl and winter just seem to go together so I had my reservations about sewing a summer version.
I am happy to report that I over the moon with this resulting top. The cowl really jazzes up this simple t-shirt style and I can definitely see wearing this to a meeting with a cute pink blazer, heels and a pencil skirt for an office-ready look.
You can pick up this pattern on the Love Notions website for only $5 dollars today as it’s this week’s Feature Friday Pattern. Additionally, this style comes in girls sizes, 2T-16, and is also on sale today for $5. Be sure to pick these versatile patterns today!

July 27, 2020Thanks Tea! You are so right. Adding a few inches to the hem would definitely make a cute dress. I’ve been trying the Cantu Twist and Define Gel and I’m loving how moisturizing and shiny it makes my hair. Thanks for noticing! Happy Sewing!
