The Rockfrod Raglan is a fun and easy to sew top pattern that’s great for using up knit leftovers that you have in your fabric stash. I used two lightweight ITY knits from remnants of two 2018 makes. The lovely blue floral print was used for the Molly Dress pattern from the Sew Over It City Break Capsule Wardrobe E-Book. The white fabric was used for a Tilly and the Buttons Agnes Top. I am so glad I still had these scraps in my fabric stash. The worked perfectly together for this top!
There are a ton of style options included in this pattern. You can make use a straight bodice, a flared hem bodice or have a front asymmetrical overlay on the front. In addition, you have three sleeve options including short, 3/4 length and long sleeves along with optional cuffs and hem band.
For this top, I chose the straight bodice with cuffed short sleeves and hem band. There are only a few pattern pieces including, the front and back bodice pieces, sleeves, sleeve cuffs, neckband and hem band. The hem band does take up a bit of extra fabric, but it is one of my favorite finishes for knit garments.
I highly recommend this cute top for busting through your fabric stash. Love Notions has made this pattern the Feature Friday pattern and it is on sale for only $5 today, July 17, 2020. Rockford Raglan Top.
